Regulations Regarding Rolls for Nursing Auxiliaries: Amendment
The Minister of Health has in terms of section 45(1) of the Nursing Act, 1978 (Act No. 50 of 1978), on the recommendation of the South African Nursing Council, made the regulations in the Schedule.
SCHEDULEDefinition1. In this Schedule “the Regulations” means the regulations published under Government Notice No. R. 1206 of 7 July 1972, as amended by Government Notices Nos. R. 1267 of 27 July 1973, R. 1856 of 8 October 1976, R. 190 of 2 February 1979, R. 2209 of 31 October 1980, R. 817 of 30 April 1982, R. 2032 of 24 September 1982, R. 1421 of 1 July 1983, R. 1904 of 23 September 1988, R. 2193 of 6 September 1991, R. 1323 of 23 July 1993, R. 1129 of 28 July 1995, R. 1129 of 23 September 1999, R. 1303 of 5 December 2001, R. 150 of 24 January 2003, R. 860 of 13 June 2003 and R. 704 of 22 July 2005.
Amendment of regulation 2 of the Regulations2. Regulation 2 of the Regulations is hereby amended by– (a) the substitution in subregulation (2)(a)(vi) for the expression “three hundred rand (R300)” of the expression “three hundred and twenty-eight rand and ninety-five cents (R328,95), excluding VAT”; (b) the substitution in subregulation (2)(b)(i) for the expression “fifty rand (R50) in” of the expression “fifty-five rand and twenty-six cents (R55,26), excluding VAT, in”; and (c) the substitution in subregulation (2)(b)(ii) of the expression “two hundred and nineteen rand and thirty cents (R219,30), excluding VAT, in” for the expression “two hundred rand (R200) in”.
Amendment of 3 of the Regulations3. Regulation 3 of the Regulations is hereby amended by the substitution in subregulation (1) for the expression “one hundred and eleven rand and forty cents (R111,40)” of the expression “one hundred and twenty-one rand and ninety-three cents (R121,93)”.
Amendment of regulation 5 of the Regulations4. Regulation 5 of the Regulations is hereby amended by– (a) the substitution in subregulation (1)(a) for the expression “ fifty-two rand and sixty-three cents (R52,63)” of the expression “fifty-eight rand and seventy-seven cents (R58,77)”; and (b) the substitution in subregulation (1)(b) for the expression “one hundred and eighty-one rand and fifty-eight cents (R181,58)” of the expression “one hundred and ninety-nine rand and twelve cents (R199,12)”.
Commencement of regulations5. These regulations shall come into operation on the date of publication in the Gazette.
Transitional arrangements6. Regulation 3 of these regulations shall not apply to annual fees in respect of– (a) the 2006 calendar year; and (b) the 2007 calendar year if the annual fee was paid before the date of publication of these regulations.
